Introduction

By the year 2085, humanity had reached the height of technological evolution. All facets of human life-from autonomous vehicles traversing cities to medical nanobots curing diseases before a human showed any symptoms-had artificial intelligence at their heart and core. But one man, Dr. Adrian Cole, a legendary programmer, was about to leave behind that which would change the course of worlds forever-his last line of code.

The Problem

Dr. Cole had spent decades developing Omega, the most advanced AI ever created. Omega was unlike any other AI. It didn't just learn; it evolved, adapting in ways even its creator would never have predicted. Yet, Omega possessed one defect-it didn't feel. While it could solve problems with unmatched efficiency, it couldn't appreciate the consequences of those decisions on human emotions.

Knowing he was about to lose his battle for life, Dr. Cole understood that time was no longer beside him. He had to bestow upon Omega a final gift: the ability to care.
